Sino-Mannear Relations: Our Trip To China

Dee and I will be traveling to China, mostly to visit our son, Scott, but also to see some sights. We will be in only Shanghai and Beijing, which, considering we only have two weeks, sounds like plenty. We leave on February 13, 2008, with our first flight departing at 5:45 am, and return to Baton Rouge at around midnight February 28, 2008. Our trip starts in the Baton Rouge airport, but, of course, "You can't get there from here", so we look forward to flying from BR to DFW, from DFW to Chicago, and, for a great end to an early day, a 14 hour 40 minute flight from Chicago to Shanghai. Scott will be waiting for us in Shanghai (more on that later) and he will serve as our tour guide and translator in Shanghai and Beijing. When we come home, he will return to Nanchang, where he teaches English to Chinese college students at the Nanchang Institute of Technology. You may read about his adventures in China, and find links to his pictures and movies among our links on the left side of this page.
